- If you are quite, in the early morning you can hear the scraping sound of the Mustacii. A pathetic little creature, it pulls its giant head along the ground with and behind its monstrously unarticulated limbs. Its movement is slow and its fleshy body vulnerable to predators of the forest, its only defense as an adult being its thick curly hair. Its limbs appear to operate like antennae, lifting up and out feeling the sky for something then slowly dropping feeling the ground for sharp objects that might wound its tender head. The dragging of its head along the ground leaves the underside of this bulbous extremity raw and bald. Part of the rare encounters between fellow Mustacii are spent grooming any damaged skin that might have accumulated since the last encounter. When plucked from the ground a Mustacii emits a faint whimper and its slight quiver gives the impression of a fearful and scared creature but in fact they know little fear as few survive encounters with predators. All they know are their pleasant friends and animals amongst whom they get along with. This may seem strange but the Mustacii are particularly fecund creatures, and bear numerous babies in frothy masses upon branches in trees where as they age and gain weight fall to the ground to finish their lives as ground roamers.
